Meet Mandy Griffey
A lifelong horsewoman, practical teacher, and steady hand.
Horses have been part of Mandy’s life since she was eight years old—and they have shaped the person and horsewoman she is today.

Mandy offers western riding lessons for children, teens, and adults along with professional horse training in Kingsville, Missouri and at clients' own properties.
She holds a degree in Equestrian Science from William Woods University and spent 12 years in Colorado working at a variety of training barns and ranches. Those years gave her experience with diverse horses, riders, working environments, and training programs.
One highlight of her career was working for Ann Judge, the rider and trainer of Thunder, the Denver Broncos mascot. The experience strengthened Mandy's eye for detail, preparation, and the kind of quiet communication exceptional horses require.
Her background also includes ranch work, colt development, western riding, pack trips, and practical horsemanship. Today, she brings those experiences together to help riders become safer and more confident while developing horses that are willing, reliable, and clear about what is being asked.

Mandy's philosophy
Leadership, consistency, and calm communication.
Mandy's goal is to develop willing, responsive horses while helping riders build confidence and lasting partnerships. The same practical principles guide every training horse and every student.
She believes horsemanship is a lifelong learning process. Versatility matters, continual growth matters, and no one is ever too experienced to keep learning.
Why Wild & Rooted

The name is a reminder that we can embrace adventure while staying rooted in the things that matter most. Whether you are taking a first lesson or continuing a lifelong journey, Mandy's aim is to offer a welcoming place where both horse and rider can learn, grow, and enjoy the process together.
